Whitman Reads The Art Forger April 6th - May 15th



This year's Whitman Reads is The Art Forger by B. A. Shapiro.  The goal of the town-wide reading program is to get as many Whitman residents as possible to read the same book and talk about it with friends, coworkers, and neighbors.  This is our third Whitman Reads program.

We have the following programs dedicated to The Art Forger: 

April 6th 6:00 PM Film Screening and Discussion of Tim's Vermeer

April 10th 6:30 PM Book Discussion with Author Stephen Kurkjian 

April 18th 6:30 PM Cherry Blossom Art Adult Craft. Space is limited please register.

April 22nd 11 AM - 1 PM Children's Open Art Studio

April 22nd 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM Teen Open Art Studio

April 22nd 10:00 AM - 3:30 PM Bus Trip  to Isabella Stewart Garner Museum. Space is limited, registration required.

April 25th, 6:30 PM Decorate sketch books Adult Craft. Space is limited please register.

May 1st, 1 PM & 6:30 PM Book Discussion of The Art Forger

May 7th 2 PM Beyond the Book: An Afternoon with B. A. Shapiro at the Whitman Town Hall Auditorium


Art and Poetry Contest


Taking submissions April 1 - 22. All ages are welcome. Reception May 15th 6:30 PM.
