Is there any way to have the Dept of Public Works Yard open to Whitman residents a little later one or two weekdays from 6/28 onward? I know it is open on Saturdays 7AM-3PM from 4/19-6/28, but after 6/28, if you are not a retiree, unemployed, stay at home parent, etc. the 7AM-3PM hours during the work week (M-F) are a challenge. This wouldn't be an issue if there was curbside pick up of leaves/grass clippings in Whitman like other towns do. Just a suggestion. Thank you for your time.

Every time a truck goes over it, things fall of the walls in my house. How the hell do we get this fixed. What steps need to be taken? Who do we call? Is it up to the town, state, owner of the condos (Mosaic Gardens), or whoever. VERY FRUSTRATING!

Pine haven Dr has many very deep and wide in some case pot holes. It is becoming a unsafe issues with the Wheel chairs that have to come up the road from Pine Circle someone is going to fall out of the chair and be throw if they hit one of these and it is becoming very hard for the buses and cars to miss these holes . please either fill them all in or redo tar the whole road before it becomes any more unsafe. I can see a fire truck or a police car or even the school bus braking an axle as they come down this road when it rains or as the snow melts these holes fill up with water so it makes it hard to know the hole is there and you hit it and go down hard into the deep holes.

When Tony Hawk visited Whitman, MA in 1989 and drew a crowd of thousands to his demo show in front of Bike Barn, it was clear then that skateboarding is interwoven with the town’s DNA. Since then, Whitman skateboarders has continued to grow in the margins of our town’s streets, sidewalks and parking lots. Skateboarding is one of those sports that “chooses you” and brings together an eclectic group of people around a single passion; because of this, the Whitman skating community has become even more firmly rooted in the town and in love for the sport, even in the absence of dedicated spaces for skating.

After a storm, such as the one we had last week, why not open the dump to residents for one day for the collection of yard debris only-similar to East Bridgewater. Thank you for your consideration.
