Look into turning this empty unused building into a Addiction/rehab facility??! Addiction can no longer be called a epidemic, it has become a pandemic! It is destroying a whole generation.. This problem is now effecting everyone, it does not discriminate. I think at this point everyone knows someone that this is effecting. I myself have 2 sons addicted to Heroin and trust me when I say their is not enough being done! Waiting lists, insurance issues are just the beginning. As a Mother of 2 addicts I look around in the different towns that I drive through or that I once lived and there are MANY empty building that can be used to help with the fight. I understand it costs money, alot of money but I believe that this is something that needs to be addressed and the monies need to become available! Addiction is a very real DISEASE and should be addressed as a rapidly growing and devastating one at that. Remember a Drug Addict is some ones child...

The trash problem on the main and secondary roads of this town is absolutely shameful. I cannot believe the massive amounts of empty nip bottles, hypodermic needles, used condoms, beer cans, plastic...

The trash problem on the main and secondary roads of this town is absolutely shameful. I cannot believe the massive amounts of empty nip bottles, hypodermic needles, used condoms, beer cans, plastic of every shape and size, abandoned furniture, and general filth strewn along every inch of road. Covered/lidded garbage and recycling bins should be mandatory. Businesses should be required to keep their street fronts and grounds clean. I would like to invite the town manager and officials to take a walk down these streets with me so they can see first hand how deplorable the situation. People should be fined for allowing filth to pile up in their front yards after a certain date in Spring. And the daily/weekly "yard sales" on Washington Street near Whitman Convenience should be stopped. This town used to have some civic pride. What happened? Until some poor child contracts a disease from a dirty needle found at the park, I doubt anyone will do anything about it. Any ideas??

I want to know why the school department is not held to the same standards as other departments when it comes to accounting? General-Services/OTHER... Nope, not cutting it anymore! Where was the money spent "heroes"!!!??? Months and months the taxpayers wait for a budget. MONTHS!!! These useless voids have absolutely no idea where and how they are spending taxpayer money! Bring in a 3rd-Party Auditor and bring these charlatans to heel. This FLU-LOCKDOWN has shown people that the school system is a complete joke and not needed. Hey Whitman, how about you refund any and all taxpayers the money we have wasted on these POS teachers, administrators and others! You wont though... too many mindless teacher drones will run to the "dreaded" social media to complain/cry about "the children" and the teacher union will get mad! Oh no!!! Our elected officials are bought and sold. Make a stand. Do something!
